Conspar waterproofing and water-resistant protective floor coatings are essential for long-term building protection, helping to prevent water ingress damage such as concrete cancer.
While a majority of the work we carry out is focused on the protection of common access walkways, stairways and private access balconies, we have seen an increase in queries relating to waterproofing of terraces and common areas such as pool and gym areas.
Waterproofing is vital for under tiled surfaces exposed to water such as showers, balconies and courtyards. If this is specified incorrectly or executed without correct supervision, persistent and expensive water penetration and leak issues can result.
Conspar also offers application of floor coatings used for surfaces exposed to heavy abrasion and chemical attack which can lead to concrete damage. Specialised coatings are available that are eight times more abrasion-resistant than concrete, often used for factories, warehouses, balconies, walkways, staircases and verandahs.
